Shoot!

Not only did the election not go the way I wanted it to, I totally forgot to take pictures of my coping mechanism which is - as it obviously should be - moving furniture around the house. This morning, my usual ritual of tea and cat snuggling by the front window wasn't distracting enough so I drug the living room furniture around into an arrangement I'd been wanting to try for a while.

Oh wait! I did take one picture! But then I got distracted by how cute the cat was sitting there and the next pictures are of him. Whoops. :)

This is me standing right next to the piano at the far end of the living room. You now see the backs of the grey chairs to your right as you come in the front door. This arrangement makes me want a coffee table, some artwork, and perhaps a little bookshelf in that far corner there...

It will be interesting to see how long the furniture stays this way.
