Over the Weekend: Flooring Purchase

I was really excited to share the fact that we bought flooring for our fireplace room on Saturday. But, taking it out of the box this morning to revel in its awesomeness, I started to get a little worried. The second piece of flooring I pulled out of the box had a scratch on it. A big white scratch. From sitting in a box?! You can understand my concern. Also, the flooring is really not the same color as the display sample that led us to choose "Santos Mahogany" in the first place. The sample is a nice reddish brown with a goldeny yellow undertone. The planks I put on the floor this morning are straight up red. No nice yellow or brown. Just red. I chose this color over the other $3/square foot Home Depot options expressly for the depth of color I thought it had. Now I don't know what to do. There's still time to take it back…although that will take much longer as we'll have to order our second choice flooring…I kind of just want this room to be finished...and while I'm not thrilled now, I think it will probably look great once it's down....what do you all think? Am I over-reacting?
Here are the pics I took this morning.....not great, but hopefully they'll give you some idea.....
Planks + yellowy-er sample

Planks + sample - if the flooring always looked this color, I would be down. But it doesn't. It looks more like......
 Red
Does that look the same as this sample (from the store)?
