Mike (from work) just let me know about this cool website, shorpy.com. It's a giant collection of old photos and, according to Mike, most of their copyrights have expired so anyone can use them for any purpose. Here are a few of my favorites:

This last one really cracks me up - it shows the first (left) and second (right) place winners of a Washington beauty contest. Maybe they looked a lot better in color.
